Practice Lead: Team Development
Corky Potter is a group facilitation practitioner and organization consultant with extensive experience in design and delivery of creative and powerful personal and group learning events. His work supports individuals, teams and whole systems to increase effectiveness, achieve goals, and create desired futures.
Corky works with a wide range of organizations, challenges and disciplines. Every facilitated event is conducted within the context of each client’s organizational history, culture, people, systems, leadership and desired future. Where appropriate, he designs a content-linked experiential exercises to support targeted learning or results.
Often utilizing processes that harness the wisdom and power of large groups such as Future Search™, Open Space, and Real Time Strategic Change, Corky frequently works with “the whole system in the room.” His agendas are carefully designed to create meaningful dialogue among stakeholders.
He has worked extensively with school systems, universities, state and federal government agencies and corporations that include the American Cancer Society, AstraZeneca, the Federal Communications Commission, Friskies, Hershey Foods, GlaxoSmithKline, the Maine Department of Transportation, Merck, Pizza Hut International and The School in Rose Valley
Corky holds degrees in Education and Management (MS) and for over twenty-five years at Penn State University served as both Affiliate Professor and Director of Shaver’s Creek, a nationally recognized environmental education professional development center.
Corky has worked internationally in Latvia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. Other interests include gardening, birding and bike riding. He is a Registered Maine Sea Kayak Guide.
